THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: As many as 68 innovative science projects of schoolchildren from across the state, presented at district-level competitions, will be showcased at the two-day Kerala Children's Science Congress, to be inaugurated by chief minister Oommen Chandy at Maria Rani Convention Centre, Sreekariyam here on December 3.
The winners in this edition, themed 'Energy Exploration and Conservation', will leave for Varanasi on December 22 to participate in the 20th National Children's Science Congress from December 27 to 31. "As many as 225 students presented projects on the core theme in the district-level competitions. Of them, 68 outstanding projects will be showcased at the state-level competition. Schools should forward the project reports and other particulars of participating students through their respective district coordinators," said Kamalakshan Kokkal, state coordinator of the event.
To facilitate the representation of all districts at the state-level competition, KSCSTE has decided to reimburse second-class train fare to participating students and accompanying teachers.
